During the July 4th week-end there was a review the Amenity Center as it is nearly half way complete, (see photo gallery).
It consist of a 28X28 exercise room and his and hers bathrooms each with two toilets each. The footprint for the building is identical with that of Huron Bay, although the exterior designs are quite different.
The pool is rectangle, heated, with three underwater flood lights. The size is 25X50 feet, although the inside dimensions are somewhat less. It will have a shallow end, with a much deeper eastern end and bowed out on both short sides. It is a different design than the pool at Huron Bay, but it is very nice. I will be easy to cover in the winner.
Six mailbox slots will be in the front, three on each side of the entrance. The mail boxes will be covered by a roof extending from the main building. The back will have a large patio area for plenty of seating, along with a large roofed over area that could be screened in over time.
The plans for the exercise room are to be open and not sectioned off as many had hoped. But that too can be done later.
Most importantly, to their credit, Pulte is making the building very very classy. The upper windows are arced with the arched effect pronounced by the exterior surfacing. The entrance way is double arched with a large impressive atrium that makes you just want to stand there for a few moments. The mailboxes are calling for the arched effect as well.
The corners of the building are boxed out for added effect and the many columns will be the traditional southern style. The roof will be tiled, matching the architecture of the community. Credit needs to be extended to Pulte and many people involved for making this the center point of our community one we can all be proud of. It will be grand.
One tennis court will be adjacent to the center, separated by the parking lot for about 15 vehicles.
Pulte is still saying it will ready by the end of August. With how much that has been done over the last month and with crews working over the 4th of July holiday week-end, that still might just happen.
This week the pool should be put in, interior walls sheet rocked, and exterior mortar applied.
